 Played with some ideas but not liking anything so far. Hopefully I can get some ideas after a zoom meeting.

 For the final project I've been debating doing a self portrait of things that have made me who I am and things that have inspired me. I'm still not sure what I really want to do for this in terms of composition but I will be experimenting with ideas as they come. I want to include someone who is really important to me: my AP art teacher from high school Mrs. Fox. We always associated foxes with our teacher and I want to incorporate one in the image. Her encouragement allowed me to follow an artistic career path of which I didn't think I was capable of until she pushed me towards my goals. I also want to incorporate items that represent important people in my life. I still need to keep brainstorming because I usually do better with a prompt rather than an open assignment because I tend to like having direction.

 I refined my concept a bit and included silhouettes of myself instead of stock images. I took a series of pictures and made them into silhouettes of me standing up and then in place of where the lady with the dress was. I added a variety of butterflies but I am still not 100% sure I want to keep the butterflies in the image. Before:  After:

 I messed around with my ideas and decided I wanted to do a composition consisting of a metaphorical metamorphosis of despair to happiness. I liked the idea of growth like a flower blooming and evolved the concept from there. Heres my first concept picture:

 So I've been kicking around with some ideas in mind, but I don't have anything concrete as of yet. I think I am going to incorporate moon phases and maybe some plant/vegetation growth and hopefully I can come up with a composition that has both. I've also been thinking about some ideas that others are exploring in this class like the development of artwork and incorporating some of my own in this project. I have some pictures from google images that I think I will play around with in Photoshop. I have the phases of the moon and some flowers in various stages of bloom and growth.

  I straightened the bridge to look more clean, touched up some mistakes in the leaves, and added an iris with a blending mode on in the focal point of the piece. Overall, I made the image brighter, added a purple hue to the picture, brightened up the flower, doll, and balloons. I also made the hot air balloons bigger because I felt like they got lost in the background. I moved them more towards the center of the picture to balance the composition out.
